You are a sports fan and your life revolves around your favorite teams and athletes. Decorating a room to show off your team spirit and loyalty is a must. You can take all your sports memorabilia - pennants, souvenir ball, replica jersey and helmets that you have collected over the year and turn a space into a sports fan's room for you, your family and your guests to enjoy.

You first need to measure the space of the room to determine how much wall and floor space is available for you to decorate. Don't forget - you can also hang some of your items from the ceiling.

Next, consider the flooring. You can use flooring in the colors of your favorite team and then accent the flooring with sports-themed rugs also in the colors of your favorite team accented with the team logo and/or mascot.

Next, you will need to think about wall decor. You should plan out and designate area of the walls for specific types of memorabilia. You should hang memorabilia for specific teams or athletics together. You can hang framed jerseys, posters and replica pennants on the walls. You can also hang some pennants from the ceiling. You can add wall decals for that extra touch. Wall decals are usually adhesive and easy to put up and taken down allowing you to easily change the look and feel of your fan sports room.

You now need to put up shelves or curio cabinets to display your balls, trophies, bats, cap, helmets or other souvenirs. You can then add other home decor such as sports-themed furniture, clocks, and mirrors depicting your favorite team's colors, logos and mascots. You can also put up a dry erase boards or a sports-themed easel with paper for you to keep track of your team's game schedule, won-loss-tie record or league standings.

Lastly, don't forget the lighting. You can add table, floor, accent and ceiling lamps to the sports fan room decor. These provide glowing light while brightly displaying your team's colors and logos. For that extra touch, add light switch covers and night lights - also depicting your favorite team's colors and logos.

Decorating a sports fan's room can be a fun and enjoyable activity that will that bring joy for you and others for many years down the road - bringing the sports venue to your house.
